Lately

I’ve been a lazy blogger lately, so in the vein of my friend Mike’s post from today, I wanted to list a few exciting things on the horizon:

- First of all, for those that don’t know, my wife and I are having TWINS!  We’re so excited, anxious, scared and all the other emotions you feel when you realize you’re bringing life lives into the world.  What a blessing from the Lord!

- This Saturday night I have the pleasure of being a guest guitarist for Jess Ray and her band, the Rag Tag Army.  I tracked some electric guitars and glockenspiel for her upcoming record and we’re all playing a show for its release this Saturday night at North Ridge Church in North Raleigh.  It’s gonna be fun, you should be there..

- I’m getting to play some shows with Shelly Moore coming up:  We’re leading for NCSU’s Crusade next Thursday and opening up for NeedToBreathe for the fair in Winston-Salem on October 7th!  Can’t wait for those.. I’m also looking forward to working on SMB’s next Hymn project.

- Finally, I’ve been falling more and more in love with The Beatles lately and I’m really pumped that all their albums have finally been remastered and are out in stores.  I wish I could afford the box set but instead I’ll have to try to buy my favorites over the next few months.  For those who care (or are feeling especially giving), they are, in no particular order:  Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album, and Abbey Road.

That is all.  Here’s a picture of Jess Ray and co. taken by the talented Nancy Ray.
