August 19, 2009 Artist: The Beatles Album: Abbey Road Medium: CD Attendees: 6 More people, better times. The turntable wasn’t working so we had to resort to the CD player. We passed around the artwork and the Beatles Anthology book so we learned a lot too. Finished the night off with a few episodes of Arrested Development, the greatest show ever. |

August 26, 2009 Artist: Mute Math Albums: Reset EP, Armistice Medium: CD Attendees: 6 2 in 1. We wanted to do Mute Math’s entire “canon” but decided to keep the night shorter and went with the EP and their new album. This time we turned the lights off and kept the talking to a minimum (Ben fell asleep). The general consensus was that the EP had a much bigger and better sound even though there were good songs on Armistice. We also enjoyed some Hornsbys, popcorn and blueberry cream pie. Great session. I’ve got to get that turntable working. Next time: Imogen Heap. |
